This piece showcases my use of lip syncing and audio mixing, as well as demonstrating my ability to design original characters in someone else’s style. In this case I emulated the rubber hose style of the mid 1920s. Using this style, I animated an interview with a classmate. I’ve unfortunately lost much of the in-progress art from this project. It began with the interview and conceptualizing and designing the characters. I then created a looping animation of them bouncing up and down, trying to emulate the style of the time. The most difficult part was lip-syncing as I had never worked with audio on my animations. There was a learning curve but using aftereffects I was able to create an effective final product within the time frame given to me.
